Package Designer

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering 3D models using E3D within a Teamcenter environment for rotating equipment packages, piping, and structural systems.
• Perform 3D model development for equipment and systems, including piping, supports, valves, and instrumentation hookups.
• Execute piping design, routing, and the preparation of General Arrangement (GA) and Isometric drawings with MTO.
• Interpret simulation studies (such as Stress and Pulsation analysis) and implement results into designs.
• Conduct basic engineering calculations for pipe sizing, pressure drops, and other related dimensions.
• Liaise with clients and consultants regarding technical matters, drawing approvals, and 3D model reviews.
• Support fabrication and packaging activities at Siemens Energy shops or client sites.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 2 to 10 years of professional design experience.
• Expert proficiency in NX for 3D modeling of packages and developing General Arrangement drawings.
• Strong knowledge of B31.3 piping standards.
• Familiarity with international standards and codes including ASME, ASTM, API, and AWS.
• Ability to read and prepare package engineering drawings, including Foundation Plans and piping isometrics.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with E3D and Teamcenter environments.
• Exposure to ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP.
• Basic knowledge of rotating equipment, including compressors and pumps.
