About the role
Responsibilities
- Design and assemble complex primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging systems that meet customer requirements and manufacturing capabilities
- Create sketches, 3D renderings, and visual presentations of packaging concepts for customers and internal teams
- Create and modify packaging structural drawings and web layouts using CAD platforms
- Perform prototyping duties in the on-site laboratory, including managing supplies and equipment maintenance
- Support the development and commercialization of new package designs and optimization of existing packaging
- Provide direct support to Senior Designers and Project Leads during project planning and execution
- Mentor and provide direction to Junior Designers and interns
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 2+ years of related industry experience
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and Artios-CAD
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (graphic design and photo editing)
- Experience with thermoforming design and manufacturing technologies
- Experience with unit dose blister design and manufacturing
- Experience with folding carton and wallet card design, manufacturing, and printing
- Knowledge of flexible packaging and materials
- Experience with advanced drug delivery device packaging, including child-resistant and adult-friendly designs
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to effectively present technical information to various stakeholders
- Strong original thinking and creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
