P6 Planner

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of integrated project programmes, schedules, and resource strategies using Primavera P6
• Produce detailed Work Breakdown Structures and ensure programme logic is aligned with scope and contractual requirements
• Identify, analyse, and communicate project risks and provide mitigation strategies
• Support project managers in defining key milestones, sequencing, and deliverables
• Produce tender and contract programmes in compliance with NEC conditions
• Conduct resource and productivity analysis to optimise performance and support cost forecasting
• Lead schedule reviews, progress reporting, and programme updates
• Ensure planning processes adhere to industry standards and internal governance
• Mentor junior planners and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Proven experience in a senior planning role within utilities, civil engineering, or major infrastructure
• Expert working knowledge of Primavera P6
• Strong understanding of the NEC form of contract
• Ability to build, manage, and interrogate complex project schedules
• High-level analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving capabilities
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Knowledge of construction methodologies, project controls, and earned value analysis
