Owner and Medical Director Veterinarian

Responsibilities

• Establish medical standards for wellness care, anesthesia, surgery, diagnostics, pain management, dental care, and recordkeeping
• Lead the clinical team to ensure consistent, high-quality patient and client care
• Oversee accurate and timely medical records and charge capture
• Assist in hiring, onboarding, training, and mentoring veterinarians and technicians
• Contribute to strategic planning, budgeting, and financial performance
• Drive revenue growth, manage expenses, and monitor financial performance
• Ensure regulatory compliance and lead team meetings and practice initiatives
• Mentor and evaluate associate veterinarians and foster professional development

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university
• Valid Veterinary License in Massachusetts
• Strong medical, communication, and leadership skills
• Proven ability to manage people, delegate tasks, and drive results
