Overnight Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Ensure the overall safety and security of hotel guests, colleagues, and premises
• Act as a member of the Emergency Response Team, responding to fires, accidents, and medical emergencies
• Patrol the interior and exterior of the hotel, including all stairwells
• Monitor CCTV footage and maintain computer records in a Daily Activity Report
• Investigate and report violations of law or hotel policy, including criminal activity and accidents
• Provide First Aid and CPR as required during emergency situations
• Handle guest and employee inquiries, noise complaints, and lock problems
• Assist in implementing preventive safety programs and the hotel's fire plan
• Conduct departmental key control audits and manage the lost and found program

Requirements

• Previous experience in a security role
• Active BSIS guard card
• CPR and First Aid certification
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and oral)
• Literacy in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Ability to work a flexible overnight schedule, including weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in luxury hospitality security
• Background in law enforcement or military service
• Experience with de-escalation, crowd control, and firefighting
