About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Manager on Duty during overnight hours, overseeing all hotel operations and ensuring a safe, secure, and exceptional guest experience
- Complete the nightly audit process accurately, including balancing room revenue, taxes, and credit card reconciliations
- Review and verify room rates, billing adjustments, refunds, and other financial transactions for compliance
- Generate, reconcile, and distribute daily financial, operational, and management reports
- Monitor and verify all system interfaces including PMS and POS
- Handle guest concerns, service recovery, and escalated issues with professionalism
- Conduct routine property inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and brand standards
- Respond to emergencies, safety incidents, and security matters
- Coordinate overnight communication with Engineering, Security, and Housekeeping
- Prepare comprehensive shift reports for the morning leadership team
- Ensure compliance with Hyatt policies, cash-handling procedures, and union contract provisions
- Assist with training, coaching, and developing overnight colleagues
Requirements
- Strong night audit, accounting, and cash-handling experience
- Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with PMS and POS systems
- Proficiency in resolving guest concerns and service recovery
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a unionized property
- Understanding of collective bargaining agreements and labor practices
