About the role
Responsibilities
- Carry out hazard and defect clearance on distribution overhead line assets
- Support planned and reactive overhead line maintenance in line with safety rules
- Ensure all work is undertaken safely and in compliance with health and safety legislation
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions and varied terrain
- Use vehicles, tools, and plant safely once trained and authorised
- Use company-issued digital devices (e.g., iPad, mobile phone) for operational tasks
- Maintain a professional approach when working in public areas and on customer premises
Requirements
- Commitment to completing a six-month training programme
- Evidence of suitable physical fitness
- Full UK driving licence
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Previous experience in a utility support role is advantageous but not required
