Overhead Line Designer

Responsibilities

• Prepare overhead line designs for railway projects in various design phases
• Produce typical electrical designs including single-line diagrams, layout maps, pole, contact wire, hanger, and cantilever lists, and portal diagrams
• Responsible for system design related to trackside equipment and support structures
• Coordinate technical designs with other engineering disciplines
• Perform cable routing and high-voltage design based on expertise and project needs
• Apply current design guidelines and standards in practical design work

Requirements

• Relevant university degree (Engineer or Master of Science) in electrical engineering, automation, structural engineering, or a related field
• At least five years of experience in overhead line design for railway projects
• Experience in design coordination and collaboration with different engineering disciplines
• Proficiency in overhead line design software and general system knowledge of trackside equipment and support structures
• Strong cooperation and communication skills
• Fluency in English or Finnish

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using BIM (Building Information Modeling) for design and interdisciplinary coordination
• Proficiency in 3D software and modeling techniques
