About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide direction and oversight of the OENDU Training Team to prevent overdose deaths
  • Research training best practices and emerging strategies for naloxone access
  • Design, implement, and analyze post-training evaluation surveys using REDCap
  • Develop research metrics and monitor logic model metrics for training initiatives
  • Analyze NDF data to evaluate training effectiveness and ensure equitable distribution
  • Supervise Overdose Prevention Trainers in research and overdose education delivery
  • Conduct Training of Responder and Training of Dispenser presentations virtually and in person
  • Participate in agency-wide activities for advancing racial, gender, and social equity

Requirements

  • Master's degree in physical, biological, environmental science, or public health
  • Experience in designing, delivering, and analyzing evaluation surveys
  • Knowledge of substance use and harm reduction practice and theory
  • Experience providing direct supervision to individuals and teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, Outlook, and Word
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctorate degree with one year of supervisory or research experience
  • Master's degree with three years of full-time research experience
  • Sensitivity to diverse ethnic, racial, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds
