Outside Sales Professional

Responsibilities

• Educate and support customers on the full line of building material products
• Build and foster strong customer relationships through in-person visits and remote support
• Drive sales and actively sell product lines
• Perform competitor analysis to understand market trends and customer behavior
• Act as a strategic partner to anticipate customer needs and resolve problems
• Collaborate with vendors to achieve mutually beneficial goals

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field
• Two to four years of industry-specific outside sales experience (in lieu of degree)
• Building materials industry experience strongly desired
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Ability to lift 30-40 pounds
• Willingness to participate in after-hours events and occasional overnight travel

• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Ability to deliver persuasive presentations
• Analytical skills and active listening
