Outside Plant - Field Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the on-site construction team, setting clear expectations and goals
• Coordinate and oversee all work on site to ensure adherence to schedules
• Monitor and ensure on-site safety compliance, cleanliness, and orderliness
• Place orders for materials and manage equipment and materials on site
• Maintain records for site personnel, including daily field reports, field orders, and RFIs
• Liaise with inspection authorities regarding approvals
• Uphold the highest level of safety and quality control requirements

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to perform OTDR measurements
• Knowledge of OSP procedures, processes, and fiber splicing schematics
• Understanding of RUS Specifications
• Ability to read and understand drawings, piping diagrams, and job specifications
• Successful completion of industrial first aid and rescue training
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to travel up to 90% of the time, including out of state for several months
• Physical ability to lift 50lbs+, bend, squat, climb, and work in extreme weather conditions

Preferred Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience directly with OSP installation
• Related trade school education
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
