Outside Account Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop lasting, ethical customer relationships to maximize profitable sales
• Visit customer offices, shops, and job sites to assess needs and maintain relationships
• Prospect and identify new customers and alert management of viable prospects
• Lead the sales process including sales call reports, territory planning, and growth targets
• Analyze customer data and execute strategies to grow market share
• Process orders, quotes, and job packages
• Investigate and resolve customer issues, short payments, and returns
• Work with the Business Manager and Credit Team to facilitate accounts receivable payments
• Develop and oversee implementation of strategic vendor programs
• Support Customer Service Representatives and other business location activities

Requirements

• College and/or University degree
• Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service or counter sales
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
• Outstanding customer service and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Intermediate math skills
• Ability to learn and operate applicable software systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with plumbing and building products
• Experience using Trend and Eclipse
