About the role
Responsibilities
- Visit customer offices, shops, and job sites to assess needs and maintain strong relationships
- Prospect and identify new customers to generate profitable sales
- Lead the sales process including territory planning and growth targets
- Analyze customer data to execute strategies for growing market share
- Process orders, quotes, and job packages
- Resolve customer issues, short payments, and returns
- Work with the Credit Team to facilitate accounts receivable payments
- Implement strategic vendor programs and participate in trade shows
- Support Customer Service Representatives and Profit Centre activities
Requirements
- College and/or University degree
- Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service or counter sales
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
- Strong verbal communication and relationship building skills
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
- Intermediate math skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with plumbing and building products
- Experience using Infor M3
