About the Company

For over 125 years, Calvary Hospital and Calvary @Home located in the Bronx, New York has been dedicated to the palliative care of advanced cancer and other terminally ill patients and their families. Through a caring, compassionate, philosophy of non-abandonment, the hospice provides a full spectrum of palliative services, including emotional, spiritual, and physical care.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of the application intake process as assigned
• Provides educational information to patients, families, and referrers
• Maintains professional relationships with referrers
• Assumes responsibility for the application process in the absence of the Senior Application RN

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• Current New York State Registered Nurse License/Permit
• Bachelors Degree in Nursing required
• Minimum three years Supervisory experience required
• Competency with computer peripherals and database management software
• Ability to work effectively with Medical Staff and other clinical disciplines

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters Degree in Nursing
