Outreach and Operations Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate undergraduate recruitment efforts for all School of Engineering and Computing (SEC) programs, with a strategic focus on cybersecurity.
• Develop and implement recruitment strategies that highlight academic strengths, experiential learning, and career outcomes.
• Support the coordinated operations and utilization of the I-HACK facility, ensuring alignment between facility use and academic programming.
• Facilitate the planning and execution of programs, tours, camps, and events hosted within I-HACK.
• Lead targeted outreach initiatives, including STEM fairs, competitions, and pre-college programming.
• Collaborate with University Marketing, Communications, and Admissions to ensure consistent messaging across digital and outreach channels.
• Maintain relationships with schools, community organizations, and industry partners to enhance recruitment pipelines.
• Coordinate student staffing needs and support experiential learning opportunities within I-HACK and the MakerSpace.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (preference for Business, Communications, Marketing, IT, or related fields).
• Minimum of two years of experience in admissions, outreach, marketing, or program coordination.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated organizational and project coordination skills.
• Ability to collect and analyze data to support decision-making.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting recruitment in engineering, computing, or cybersecurity-related programs.
• Familiarity with higher education admissions and enrollment strategies.
• Experience coordinating events, outreach programs, or facility operations.
• Experience with digital communication tools (e.g., Canva, Wix) and CRM systems.
• Experience in higher education or STEM-related fields.
• Demonstrated interest in grant writing.
