Outpatient Registered Nurse - RN

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for patients with End Stage Kidney Disease (ESKD).
• Perform systematic collection and analysis of patient data pre-, during, and post-hemodialysis treatment.
• Administer medications as prescribed and document medical justification and effectiveness.
• Educate patients and their families regarding treatment, transplant options, and learning needs.
• Direct and collaborate with direct patient care staff, including LPNs/LVNs and Patient Care Technicians, to ensure safe delivery of hemodialysis therapy.
• Ensure correct laboratory collection, processing, and shipping procedures are followed.
• Participate in decision-making, leadership functions, and quality improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state nursing licensure.
• Current CPR BLS Certification.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to assist with patient ambulation.
• Flexibility to float to sister clinics as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in chronic or acute hemodialysis.
• Experience in Nephrology Nursing.
