Outpatient Registered Nurse - RN

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for patients with End Stage Kidney Disease (ESKD).
• Perform systematic collection and analysis of patient data before, during, and after hemodialysis treatments.
• Administer medications as prescribed and document medical justification and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to update nursing assessments and plans of care.
• Provide initial and ongoing education to patients and their families regarding treatment and transplant options.
• Direct and assist direct patient care staff, including LVN/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians, to ensure safe delivery of therapy.
• Ensure correct laboratory collection, processing, and shipping procedures are followed.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current and appropriate state nursing licensure.
• Current CPR BLS Certification.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting, moving patients, and prolonged periods of standing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in Nephrology Nursing.
• Experience in chronic or acute hemodialysis settings.
