Outpatient Registered Nurse - RN

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for patients undergoing hemodialysis.
• Perform systematic collection and analysis of patient data pre-, during, and post-treatment.
• Administer medications as prescribed and document medical justification and effectiveness.
• Educate patients and their families regarding treatment, transplant options, and learning needs.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to update nursing assessments and plans of care.
• Ensure correct laboratory collection, processing, and shipping procedures.
• Assist with emergency response measures as required.
• Delegate appropriate tasks to direct patient care staff, including LVN/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state nursing licensure.
• Current CPR BLS Certification.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting, moving patients, and prolonged standing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in chronic or acute hemodialysis.
• Experience in Nephrology Nursing.
