Outpatient Registered Nurse - RN

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care for outpatient hemodialysis patients
• Perform patient assessments before, during, and after treatment and document findings
• Administer medications and respond to changes in patient condition as needed
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, learning needs, and care options
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to update plans of care and improve outcomes
• Support emergency response measures, staff training, and orientation of new team members

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current state nursing licensure
• Current CPR BLS certification
• Ability to perform heavy lifting, patient movement, and prolonged standing
• Entry-level RN with less than 2 years of nephrology nursing experience
• Must meet practice requirements for the state of employment

Preferred Qualifications

• Chronic or acute hemodialysis experience
• Experience in outpatient or nephrology nursing
• Prior exposure to patient education and care coordination
