Outpatient Registered Nurse - RN

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent outpatient nursing care for patients with end stage kidney disease
• Perform patient assessments before, during, and after hemodialysis treatment and document findings
• Administer medications, monitor treatment response, and respond to emergencies as needed
• Educate patients and families on care plans, treatment options, and transplant awareness
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to update plans of care and improve outcomes
• Support lab collection, processing, and shipping procedures
• Assist with staff training, orientation, and delegated patient care tasks

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current state nursing licensure
• Current CPR BLS certification
• Ability to perform heavy lifting, patient movement, and prolonged standing
• Entry-level RN with less than 2 years of nephrology nursing experience
• Must meet state practice requirements for employment

Preferred Qualifications

• Chronic or acute hemodialysis experience
• 9 months of RN experience
• 3 months of chronic or acute hemodialysis experience as an RN
