Outpatient Registered Nurse - RN

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent outpatient nursing care for patients with end stage kidney disease
• Perform patient assessments before, during, and after hemodialysis treatment and document findings
• Administer medications and respond to changes in patient condition as needed
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, learning needs, and modality options
• Support safe dialysis delivery, lab collection processes, and emergency response measures
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team and assist with quality improvement activities

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current state nursing licensure
• Current CPR BLS certification
• Ability to meet state practice requirements
• Entry-level RN with less than 2 years of nephrology nursing experience
• Ability to provide direct patient care in an onsite clinical setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Nephrology nursing experience
• Chronic or acute hemodialysis experience
• Prior experience working in outpatient dialysis or kidney care
