Outpatient Registered Nurse - RN

Responsibilities

• Provide clinically competent outpatient nursing care for patients with end stage kidney disease
• Perform patient assessments before, during, and after hemodialysis treatment
• Administer medications and document treatment response and patient records
• Educate patients and families on care plans, treatment options, and transplant awareness
• Collaborate with the care team on planning, intervention, evaluation, and quality improvement
• Support emergency response measures, lab collection processes, and staff training as needed

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current state nursing licensure in the state of employment
• Current CPR BLS certification, or ability to obtain it
• Ability to meet practice requirements for the assigned state
• Strong communication, documentation, and patient care skills
• Entry-level RN with less than 2 years of nephrology nursing experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Nephrology nursing experience
• Chronic or acute hemodialysis experience
• Prior experience working in outpatient or dialysis settings
