Outpatient Registered Nurse - RN

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for patients with End Stage Kidney Disease (ESKD)
• Perform systematic collection and analysis of patient data pre, during, and post hemodialysis treatment
• Administer medications as prescribed and document medical justification and effectiveness
• Educate patients and their families regarding treatment, transplant options, and learning needs
• Direct and collaborate with direct patient care staff, including LVN/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians
• Ensure correct laboratory collection, processing, and shipping procedures are followed
• Participate in decision-making, leadership functions, and quality improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current state nursing licensure
• Current CPR BLS Certification
• Ability to perform heavy lifting, move patients, and assist with ambulation
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods and bend over as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in chronic or acute hemodialysis
• Previous experience in Nephrology Nursing
