Outpatient Registered Nurse - RN

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent hemodialysis care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Perform systematic collection and analysis of patient data pre-, during, and post-hemodialysis treatment
• Administer medications as prescribed and document medical justification and effectiveness
• Educate patients and their families regarding treatment, transplant options, and modality options
• Direct and collaborate with direct and ancillary patient care staff to ensure safe delivery of therapy
• Ensure correct laboratory collection, processing, and shipping procedures are performed
• Participate in decision-making, teaching, leadership functions, and quality improvement activities

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current state nursing licensure
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification
• Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting, moving patients, and prolonged standing

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Nephrology Nursing
• Experience in chronic or acute hemodialysis
