Outpatient Registered Nurse - RN

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for patients with End Stage Kidney Disease (ESKD).
• Perform systematic collection and analysis of patient data pre-, during, and post-hemodialysis treatment.
• Administer medications as prescribed and document medical justification and effectiveness.
• Direct and provide safe and effective delivery of hemodialysis therapy in collaboration with ancillary patient care staff.
• Educate patients and their families regarding treatment, transplant options, and basic learning needs.
• Ensure correct laboratory collection, processing, and shipping procedures are performed.
• Serve as a resource, leader, and mentor for new and incumbent employees.
• Participate in quality improvement projects and facility-level education.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current and appropriate state nursing licensure.
• Current or successfully completed CPR BLS Certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience.
