Outpatient Registered Nurse - RN

Responsibilities

• Provide clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Perform systematic collection and analysis of patient data pre, during, and post hemodialysis treatment
• Administer medications as prescribed and document medical justification and effectiveness
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to update nursing assessments and plans of care
• Provide initial and ongoing education to patients and their families regarding treatment and learning needs
• Direct and provide safe delivery of hemodialysis therapy in collaboration with patient care staff
• Ensure correct laboratory collection, processing, and shipping procedures are performed

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current state nursing licensure
• Current CPR BLS Certification
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and assist with patient movement/ambulation
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in chronic or acute hemodialysis
• Experience in Nephrology Nursing
