Outpatient Registered Nurse - RN - Dialysis

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent outpatient dialysis care for assigned patients
• Perform patient assessments before, during, and after hemodialysis treatment and document findings
• Administer medications and respond to patient needs, including emergency situations
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, kidney disease, and care options
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to update plans of care and improve outcomes
• Support lab collection, processing, and shipping procedures
• Assist with staff training, orientation, and quality improvement activities

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current state nursing licensure
• Current CPR BLS certification
• Ability to meet practice requirements in the state of employment
• Entry-level RN with less than 2 years of nephrology nursing experience
• Chronic or acute hemodialysis experience preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Nephrology nursing experience
• Chronic or acute hemodialysis experience
• Prior experience supporting patient education and care coordination
