Outpatient Registered Nurse - RN - Dialysis

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Perform systematic collection and analysis of patient data pre-, during, and post-hemodialysis treatment.
• Administer medications as prescribed and document medical justification and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to identify expected outcomes and update nursing assessments and plans of care.
• Provide initial and ongoing education to patients and their families regarding treatment and learning needs.
• Direct and oversee the daily provision of safe and effective hemodialysis therapy in collaboration with direct and ancillary staff.
• Serve as a resource, leader, and mentor for new and incumbent employees.
• Ensure correct laboratory collection, processing, and shipping procedures are followed.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current and appropriate state nursing licensure.
• Current CPR BLS Certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience.
