Outpatient Registered Nurse - RN - Dialysis

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned dialysis patients.
• Perform systematic collection and analysis of patient data pre-, during, and post-hemodialysis treatment.
• Administer medications as prescribed and document medical justification and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to update nursing assessments and plans of care.
• Provide initial and ongoing education to patients and their families regarding treatment and learning needs.
• Direct and provide safe delivery of hemodialysis therapy in collaboration with direct and ancillary patient care staff.
• Ensure correct laboratory collection, processing, and shipping procedures are followed.
• Assist with emergency response measures as required.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current and appropriate state nursing licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting, moving patients, and prolonged periods of standing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in Nephrology Nursing.
• Experience in chronic or acute hemodialysis.
