Outpatient Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent outpatient nursing care for patients with end stage kidney disease
• Perform patient assessments before, during, and after hemodialysis treatment and document findings
• Administer medications, monitor treatment response, and notify the care team of changes or concerns
• Educate patients and families on care plans, treatment options, and transplant awareness
• Support safe hemodialysis delivery, emergency response, lab collection, and care coordination
• Participate in team communication, training, orientation, and quality improvement activities

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current state nursing licensure
• Current CPR BLS certification
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
• Ability to assist with patient ambulation
• Ability to work onsite in a clinical care setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Entry-level RN with less than 2 years of nephrology nursing experience
• Chronic or acute hemodialysis experience
• Experience working in outpatient or dialysis care
