Outpatient Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent hemodialysis care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Perform systematic collection and analysis of patient data pre, during, and post-hemodialysis treatment
• Administer medications as prescribed and document medical justification and effectiveness
• Direct and provide safe delivery of hemodialysis therapy in collaboration with direct and ancillary patient care staff
• Educate patients and families regarding basic learning needs, transplant awareness, and treatment modality options
• Ensure correct laboratory collection, processing, and shipping procedures are performed
• Serve as a resource, leader, and mentor for new and incumbent employees
• Participate in quality improvement projects and facility-level education initiatives

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current state nursing licensure
• Current CPR BLS Certification
• Minimum 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience
