Outpatient Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for patients undergoing hemodialysis.
• Perform systematic collection and analysis of patient data pre-, during, and post-treatment.
• Administer medications as prescribed and document medical justification and effectiveness.
• Educate patients and their families regarding treatment, transplant options, and learning needs.
• Direct and collaborate with direct patient care staff, including LPNs and Patient Care Technicians, to ensure safe delivery of therapy.
• Ensure correct laboratory collection, processing, and shipping procedures.
• Participate in emergency response measures and quality improvement activities.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state nursing licensure.
• Current CPR BLS Certification.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting, move patients, and assist with ambulation.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods and bend over as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in chronic or acute hemodialysis.
• Experience in Nephrology Nursing.
