Outpatient Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for patients undergoing hemodialysis
• Perform systematic collection and analysis of patient data pre-, during, and post-treatment
• Administer medications as prescribed and document medical justification and effectiveness
• Educate patients and their families regarding treatment and learning needs
• Direct and collaborate with direct patient care staff to ensure safe and effective delivery of therapy
• Assist with emergency response measures and ensure correct laboratory collection and processing
• Participate in decision-making, teaching, leadership, and quality improvement activities

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current state nursing licensure
• Current CPR BLS Certification
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and assist with patient movement/ambulation
• Entry-level eligibility (less than 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience)

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in chronic or acute hemodialysis
