Outpatient Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Perform systematic collection and analysis of patient data before, during, and after hemodialysis treatments
• Administer medications as prescribed and document medical justification and effectiveness
• Educate patients and their families regarding treatment, transplant options, and learning needs
• Direct and collaborate with direct patient care staff to ensure safe and effective delivery of hemodialysis therapy
• Ensure correct laboratory collection, processing, and shipping procedures are followed
• Participate in decision-making, teaching, leadership functions, and quality improvement activities

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current state nursing licensure
• Current CPR BLS Certification
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and assist with patient movement/ambulation
• Ability to stand for frequent, prolonged periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in chronic or acute hemodialysis
• Previous experience in Nephrology Nursing
