Outdoor Ed Camp Program Lead

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and lead specialty program areas effectively and safely
• Cultivate and supervise a fun and developmentally engaging environment for campers
• Develop and enforce specialty activity and equipment use guidelines
• Provide ongoing camper programming, including support for theme days and rainy day activities
• Build positive, nurturing relationships with campers and cooperative relationships with coworkers
• Engage with campers in a way that fosters character building and upholds YMCA values
• Collaborate with all levels of camp staff to carry out developmentally appropriate activities

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Strong organizational and group management skills
• Ability to bring a patient, caring, responsible, flexible, and positive attitude to work
• Availability to attend camp trainings before and throughout the camp season
• Ability to work the full camp season from 06/22/26 through 08/28/26

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience working in a day camp environment
• Background or education in recreation or physical education
• Applicable certifications for your specific specialty area
