OSS Technology Consultant – Blue Planet Inventory (BPI) - Senior

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation, configuration, and integration of Ciena Blue Planet products, specifically Blue Planet Network Inventory (BPI), with telecommunications OSS.
• Drive business analysis, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment phases.
• Map OSS software capabilities to customer needs and propose technical solutions to system requirements.
• Write and maintain high-quality Java code, create Spring beans, and develop JUnit tests.
• Develop and extend GUI components, including grids and reports, using core product modules.
• Write and optimize database queries and procedures for Neo4j and PostgreSQL.
• Support debugging, deployment, and environment setup using Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.

Requirements

• 5+ years of proven experience in Telecom OSS Network Inventory.
• Hands-on experience with Ciena Blue Planet Inventory (BPI).
• Proficiency in Java 11+, TypeScript, and Angular.
• Experience with Neo4j (Graph DB) and PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or a related discipline.
• Experience with at least one OSS COTS product (e.g., Netcracker, Ericsson, Nokia).

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of or certification in TMForum’s eTOM framework, Open Digital Architecture (ODA), and Open APIs.
• Experience with ElasticSearch, Camunda, Kafka, and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with Spring Boot, Maven, and Node.js.
