OSP Construction Manager

Responsibilities

• Supervise and evaluate construction and fiber splicing personnel
• Coordinate construction efforts through in-house and contract labor for aerial and underground projects
• Represent company interests with governmental and municipal organizations
• Coordinate with utility companies for right-of-way work, including pole transfers and plant extensions
• Collaborate with engineers to design plant and order necessary materials
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to agreements and safety codes
• Perform site inspections for quality control and safety
• Coordinate permitting and the make-ready process
• Track, record, and report all financials accurately

Requirements

• 5 years of Cable Television or Telecommunications technical experience
• 7-10 years of experience supervising a cable TV/telecommunications construction department
• Proven experience managing large-scale construction projects
• Knowledge of National Electrical Codes and G.O.95 and 128
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
• Strong knowledge of local and national safety and regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA)
• Proficiency in personal computer and software applications

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in fiber testing, troubleshooting, and splicing techniques
