OSH Officer - Risk and Contingency Management

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and support risk assessments across Etihad Airways activities to identify and mitigate hazards.
• Plan, coordinate, and assess emergency response drills across all company facilities.
• Deliver clear and actionable drill assessment reports to management.
• Support incident investigations by identifying root causes and ensuring effective corrective actions are implemented.
• Assign, track, and drive the closure of risk-related corrective actions and mitigations.
• Oversee the management of first aid kits, fire warden kits, and responder lists.
• Support the implementation of OSH audit and inspection plans to ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements.
• Provide timely and accurate reporting on safety performance and risk status.

Requirements

• UAE National status is required for this position.
• Minimum 4 years of experience working in a safety environment within a high-risk industry.
• Mandatory NEBOSH certificate or a similar recognized OSH qualification.
• Proven experience working with emergency response plans, contingency plans, or first aid.
• Competence in risk assessment facilitation or acting as a risk assessor.

Preferred Qualifications

• Completed training as a lead auditor (such as RBAQSA, BARS, or ISO).
• University degree in a relevant field or significant specialized OSH industry training.
• Previous experience serving as a first aider and/or fire warden.
