OS Tools Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Specify, design, and implement functionality and UX of tools for Vehicle OS such as messaging monitoring, recording/replay, and vehicle emulator
• Work with messaging systems based on Data Distribution Service (DDS) spec
• Own the software and tools for next-generation vehicles

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• Good command of C and C++
• Experience in Linux system software development, including distributed computing
• Understanding of distributed computing systems
• Familiarity with modern distributed protocols or frameworks such as gRPC, Protobufs, SomeIP, DDS
• Fluent English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with DDS or ROS2
• Proficiency in Rust programming
• Working experience with containerized environments
• Knowledge and experience in automotive products, especially Vehicle API
• Hardware signals simulation and model-based design (SIL, HIL)
• Working experience with multi-site, multi-national teams
• Familiarity with time series databases (InfluxDB, Prometheus) or analytics platforms (Grafana, Tableau)
