About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform PRP, PRP+PPP, and other orthobiologic injections under ultrasound guidance
- Conduct initial MSK assessments and intake consultations, evaluating member history and imaging
- Assist with higher-complexity procedures including A2M/iRAP, Lipogems, BMAC, and Regenokine
- Develop and communicate post-procedure care plans, including activity restrictions and PT recommendations
- Manage follow-up visits to assess outcomes and manage complications
- Operate and maintain clinical equipment such as centrifuges and ultrasound machines
- Document all clinical encounters in Athena in accordance with Atria standards
- Contribute to the development of clinical SOPs, procedure protocols, and educational materials
Requirements
- Active NYS Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
- National board certification (ANCC or AANP)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in orthopedics, sports medicine, pain management, or a procedurally-intensive setting
- Demonstrated experience performing joint or soft tissue injections
- Proficiency with phlebotomy
- Experience with electronic medical records (Athena preferred)
- Ability to operate under a collaborative practice agreement in New York State
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience with PRP preparation and injection procedures
- Background in regenerative or orthobiologic medicine
- Experience in a high-touch, membership-based clinical environment
- Familiarity with validated MSK outcome tools (VAS/NRS, KOOS, HOOS, PROMIS)
- California NP licensure or willingness to obtain it
