Orthopedic Medical Assistant

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and assist with dressing/undressing
• Review patient registration details and complete EMR intake documentation
• Prepare surgical orders and schedule lab tests or diagnostic procedures
• Manage patient callbacks regarding messages, prescriptions, and referrals
• Demonstrate proper fitting and usage of durable medical equipment (DME)

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of an accredited CNA, CMA, or Certified Ortho Tech program
• 1+ year of medical office experience preferred
• Experience with electronic medical records systems (Epic preferred)
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
