Orthodontic Dental Assistant

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients with a smile to ensure they feel comfortable and confident throughout their visit
• Support the Dentist with various orthodontic procedures
• Take digital radiographs and intra-oral scans as prescribed
• Ensure strict infection control by preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment
• Sanitize and prep operatories for respective treatments
• Adhere to OSHA and safety policies to maintain a secure environment
• Educate patients on effective oral hygiene strategies
• Undertake diverse office tasks to ensure seamless practice operations

Requirements

• Prior orthodontic dental assisting experience is required
• Must have or be willing to obtain a NY RDA license (we are happy to help those on the pathway to becoming licensed!)
• Strong interpersonal communication skills to deliver exceptional patient experiences
• A resume showcasing a consistent and stable employment history
• Ability to work the following schedule: Wednesday/Thursday (1:00 pm - 6:00 pm), Friday (1:00 pm - 5:00 pm twice per month), Tuesday (1:00 pm - 6:00 pm twice per month), and Saturday (8:30 am - 12:30 pm twice per month)
