Organics Analyst

Responsibilities

• Analyze environmental samples using Agilent GC/MS analytical equipment following EPA methods
• Perform instrument setup, sample analysis, and data review
• Provide peer review of laboratory-generated data to ensure high quality
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair laboratory equipment
• Document all calibration, inspection, and repair activities
• Participate in the development and updating of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Compile data packages for client delivery and ensure timely reporting
• Exercise strict laboratory safety practices and maintain quality integrity

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline
• Experience with Agilent GC/MS instrumentation and ChemStation Eqviroquant software
• Strong understanding of organic chemistry fundamentals and terminology
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods and handle laboratory glassware with dexterity
