Organic SEO Video Strategist

Responsibilities

• Research industry trends, audience search behavior, and higher education topics to drive organic growth.
• Conduct keyword research for web SEO and video-specific platforms like YouTube and TikTok.
• Develop content outlines, publishing calendars, and production procedures for organic video.
• Serve as a recurring on-camera representative for WGU in short-form social video content.
• Write scripts and shot outlines, partnering with creative teams on filming and editing.
• Monitor algorithm updates and analyze key metrics to adjust organic channel strategies.
• Engage with the community by monitoring and responding to comments in the university's voice.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• 5 years of experience in SEO, organic content, or social video (in-house or agency).
• Demonstrated on-camera presence and experience (please provide a reel, TikTok handle, or YouTube channel).
• Deep understanding of TikTok and YouTube creator ecosystems and discovery drivers.
• Strong skills in keyword research, content strategy, and analytical reporting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience marketing to or creating content for higher-education audiences.
• Familiarity with video editing tools such as CapCut or Adobe Premiere.
• Hands-on experience with SEO tools like Google Search Console, Ahrefs, or Semrush.
• Proven track record of growing brand-owned TikTok or YouTube channels.
