Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain orbital welding equipment and associated tools
• Perform orbital GTAW (TIG) welding on stainless steel tubing and piping systems
• Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, weld maps, and fabrication documents
• Prepare pipe and tubing by cutting, facing, beveling, cleaning, and aligning materials
• Verify proper fit-up, purge setups, and joint preparation
• Conduct visual inspections of completed welds to ensure compliance with quality requirements
• Maintain accurate weld logs, quality documentation, and traceability records
• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and site-specific safety procedures

Requirements

• 2–5 years of orbital welding experience in commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, healthcare, or process piping environments
• Demonstrated experience operating orbital GTAW welding equipment
• Proficiency in welding stainless steel tubing and piping systems
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld procedures, and isometric drawings
• Knowledge of purge systems, weld documentation, and quality control standards
• Ability to pass orbital welding qualification tests and customer-specific weld procedures
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined spaces or at heights

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with pharmaceutical, semiconductor, data center, healthcare, or food-grade process piping
• Exposure to manual GTAW (TIG) welding
• Current welding certifications or documented weld qualifications
• OSHA 10 certification
• Experience with cleanroom construction environments
