Oral Health Therapist/Hygienist

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive oral health assessments and personalised treatment plans
• Provide preventive care including scaling, polishing, fluoride treatments and oral health education
• Empower patients with practical advice on hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention
• Maintain accurate electronic patient records and uphold best-practice infection control
• Support smooth patient flow and contribute to a calm, reassuring experience
• Work closely with dentists and the wider team to deliver coordinated care

Requirements

• Unrestricted registration as an Oral Health Therapist (or equivalent) with the Dental Council of New Zealand
• Current Annual Practicing Certificate or ability to obtain one
• Passion for patient education and empowerment
• Strong communication skills to build patient trust
• Collaborative team player attitude
• Exceptional attention to detail
