Oral Health Therapist

Responsibilities

• Perform dental hygiene assessments and treatments, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride applications
• Educate patients on oral health, preventive care, and effective hygiene practices
• Take and interpret dental radiographs (X-rays) to support diagnosis and treatment planning
• Place stainless steel crowns and remove deciduous teeth within scope of practice
• Assist in the management of dental emergencies and support clinical procedures
• Maintain accurate, detailed, and up-to-date patient records
• Adhere to infection control standards and ensure a clean, safe clinical environment

Requirements

• Qualified Oral Health Therapist with Adult scope
• Registered to practice in Australia with unrestricted AHPRA registration
• Professional indemnity insurance (or ability to obtain)
• Strong communication and patient care skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a dental team
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
