Oracle Apps DBA

Responsibilities

• Provide L2 and L3 support to the Production environment
• Perform database administration activities
• Collaborate with Application Development teams to support Oracle Applications 11i and R12
• Perform capacity monitoring and short and long-term capacity planning
• Propose solutions, identify tools, and generate procedures for efficient environments
• Manage RMAN, ASM, AD Utilities, DB patching, and Refresh/cloning
• Conduct performance analysis using Shell scripting
• Manage performance tuning, capacity planning, and disaster recovery testing
• Work through SRs with Oracle Corporation technical support

Requirements

• 4 to 7 years of Oracle Apps DBA experience
• Experience with Oracle Applications R12.0.x or higher and AD utilities
• B.E/B.Tech/MCA degree
• Proficiency in Shell scripting
• Experience with RMAN, ASM, and AD Utilities

Preferred Qualifications

• R12.2.4 experience
• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification
• Experience with Fusion Middleware 11g, AS10gR3, AS10gR2, OEM, and/or RAC
• Knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager
