Optometric Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform all pre-examination testing with accuracy and attention to detail
• Greet guests promptly and explain required paperwork, tests, and services
• Provide clinical support to the Optometrist and guide patients on contact lens care
• Manage patient records, appointment scheduling, and contact lens orders
• Operate the POS system and process payments accurately
• Maintain a clean, organized, and attractive store environment
• Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements

Requirements

• High School Graduate, GED, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of one year of strong guest service experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Sales skills and familiarity with computers, cash registers, and calculators

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a retail, guest service, or optical setting
