Optometric Technician

Responsibilities

• Execute the Total Patient Experience to build relationships and deliver medical support
• Operate optical equipment including manual/auto-lensometers, autorefractor, retinal camera, visual field, GDX, or OCT
• Perform initial testing to prepare patients for optometrist exams
• Comply with all company policies and HIPAA regulations
• Maintain and clean examination equipment, including tonometer tips
• Perform general office duties and maintain a positive, team-oriented work environment

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year in a customer or patient-facing role
• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to pass a state-required background check
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 lbs
• Strong fine motor skills and visual/auditory acuity

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience
• Previous ophthalmic experience
